Vintage Vitus 979 Duralinox Single Speed Racing Frame BullHorn Bars

Single speed light weight Vitus 979 Duralinox aluminum frame road bike with bullhorns! This is one of many  frames I've owned. It's fun to ride and definitely turns heads! Vitus was an important French bicycle builder in the 1970's and '80s that produced aeronautical-grade aluminum bicycle frames which were glued and screwed together, producing a frame that was not only light but provided a softer ride as compared with welded frames. I believe that this frame was built in the late1980s. Top Tube measures 56cm, Seat Tube 57cm, Down Tube 64cm, Head Tube 6.5", Frame Size 57cm, Standover height 32.5”. The bicycle comes with a Stronglight 50t crank with Chester pedals, Sram Chain with Surly chain Tensioner, front and rear Tektro R539 sidepull caliper brakes, Tektro RC 720 Handbrakes, Campagnolo seat post, Brooks leather saddle and Brooks pouch, Stronglight headset, Leather wrapped bullhorn, cool H Plus Sons rims with Dura Ace hubs and Continental Gatorskin 700x25c tires. The bike is ready to showoff! Your bike will be partially disassembled for shipment and carefully packed in a sturdy fiberboard bicycle shipping container.
