Vintage Trek 720 Road Bike: Dark Pewter with Gray panel and headtube.

1983 Trek 720, in its day the most expensive and arguably most highly regarded of production touring bikes.
I have restored this one and replaced the troublesome hubs and rear derailleur with superior period-correct components.
It has been completely disassembled and the inside of the frame treated with "Frame Saver" to prevent corrosion.
The frame and fork are lugged Reynolds 531c steel. Superior in materials and construction to the Trek 520 that carried on after the 720 was discontinued.
Nitto B115 bars with tall, polished SR stem.
Stronglight needle bearing headset.
Suntour ratcheting friction bar end shifters.
DiaCompe cantilever brakes with Gran Compe slotted levers.
Sugino Aero Mighty Tour crankset with 26-34-48 chainrings.
Suntour Mountech front derailleur.
Suntour Blueline GT rear derailleur.
27 x 1 1/4" Panaracer Pasella Tour Guard tires.
Suntour 7 speed freewheel 13-28.
Saddle Avocet Condor with Kalloy seatpost.
New components:

Crank spindle, NOS.
Chainrings 26t and 34t.
Sram Chain.
Rear rim NOS.
Spokes.
The hubs are sealed bearing Specialized that turn quietly and smoothly.
The bike has been partially disassembled to ship and should be either professionally assembled,or assembled by someone with equal  ability and experience.
I am including a new pair of stainless inner shift cables as I could not properly position the handlebars in the shipping box with them
connected.
The pedals, water bottles and cages, and the rack are NOT included. I have reduced the price accordingly.
