Vintage Schwinn Black Phantom B-6 Whizzer Ballooner Bike Locking AS Springer Fork (with Busted Lock & cracked fork tube) Vintage Arnold Schwinn Ballooner Locking Springer fork off a Schwinn 26" Balloon Tire Black Phantom Bike. Fork is OK, it is well used, has patina, paint loss, dents, chrome loss, rust. wear, etc. The Fork tube has a crack where the groove is in the threads, check photo. The Lock tumbler is toast, but it can be fixed by someone mechanically inclined, tumbler needs to be replaced, I would suspect the lock mechanism is still works. Comes as is and as shown. Use for parts or Repair. Fork can be used on a Postwar frame head tubes ( Head tubes 5 1/2" tall head tube with out cups), can be used on B-6, DX, Spitfire, Panther, Hornet, Phantom, Hollywood, Starlet, etc... This Springer will also work with 1941 frames that have bigger 5 1/2" head tubes. Fork for use with 26" Balloon tire S-2 cruiser wheels. I have included photos for your inspection.
