VINTAGE BRIGGS STRATTON 5HP ENGINE 132432 MOTOR Mini Bike Go Kart Cart

For sale here is more of an oddball 5hp briggs flathead (model 132432) with a side mounted gas tank, updraft style carburetor, and larger muffler,  than most other vintage briggs 5hp engines you'll see. This one is an i/c (industrial commercial) unit with a cast iron bore. It turns over with good compression and if I remember correctly it does also have strong spark and should start on a shot of starting fluid. What will need attention is the minor rust that's starting in the gas tank - should be easily cleanable and it's not starting to rot or be beyond use. The pull start will need a new spring and to be rewound. And you should clean the carb before running it. This engine has been in indoor storage for 4 years since it was removed from a log splitter.  Sold as is.
