Vintage Bottecchia Steel 57c Road Bike Columbus SLX Campagnolo Athena

Bottecchia Vintage Steel Road Bike with Campagnolo Athena 8 speed components and Campagnolo Shamal alloy wheels.  Built with Columbus SLX steel tubing, the best you could buy in it's day. An absolutely stunning bicycle in great condition.  Paint is nearly perfect but does have some nicks, particularly around the front derailleur.  Fork is chrome plated and has no rust or pitting.  Fork is a thin aero style that is unique and a work of art.
I built it with Campagnolo Athena parts with Chorus shifters.  They work great and the bike rides like a dream
Wheels are polished silver alloy Camagnolo Shamal that are perfectly straight and round and spin very smooth.

The setup in the pictures fits me - I'm 5'10" with a 32.5" inseam.
This bike, to me, it like a piece of art.  It's been one of my favorites since I built it.  I love how it rides and it looks amazing.  Unfortunately, by collection has grown too large to manage and I must let some of them go.
Shipping to the continental US by UPS via bikeflights.com.  Bike will be professionally packaged at a local shop and will ship within three days from confirmed payment.
Please note: the packaging and shipping will cost me far more than the $75 I'm charging.  Although I could save money by packaging it myself, I have neither the time nor the skill that the shop does.  They've never let me down making sure it's packaged well to ensure it won't be damaged during it's trip.  I will never ask you for more money for shipping.
