1992 Schwinn Crosspoint frame!! The Crosspoint was only made for 1 year as the top of the line option of all the ‘Cross’ bikes Schwinn made in 1992 This one comes from the original owner purchased in 1994.
The Crosspoint, Crosscut, Crisscross frames were excellent! The longer wheelbase makes for a stable ride, just great geometry overall. It’s a great bike to “xBike” and modify with drops for a gravel bike, or utilize the eyelets to load up the racks to make a tourer (I own the previous years Crosscut and is how I use it).
This is the 22” Large option, it is really better suited for a taller individual. I purchased this for myself, but i am better fit (5’ 11”) for the next frame size down which is my crosscut. If you are 6’ or taller and want to build out this amazing frame this would be great!
The original owner kept this garaged and in immaculate shape, there is a blemishes to the frame right by one of the water bottle bosses, and a blemish under the bottom bracket where you will see some rust in that spot. Otherwise the British racing green paint is in outstanding shape for a 30 year old frame!
