Vintage 60cm 1988 Olympic Sintex 12 speed Italian Olmo Lugged Columbus Steel Road Bike w/ Suntour Superbe Pro Group Vintage 1988 Olympic Sintex 12 speed Italian Olmo Bicycle. Made in Italy from Columbus STX " Tubi Super Butted" Tubing with Columbus Drop Outs. Italian Quality and Style Decked out with Suntour Superbe Pro Grouping. She's a Piece of History, Olmo also known as "The Schwinn of Italy" and that's a Compliment in the Truest form. The Frame has a 60 on the bottom bracket, so suspect its a Official 60cm Frame. The Bike measures 58.5cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the center of the top tube or 60cm Center to Top of the top tube. The top tube is 57.5cm center to center.  The Head tube looks to be 175mm tall. Pretty sure bike is from 1988. Bike has a Cinelli 64-42 Giro D Italia Handlebars, Cinelli Stem, SunTour Superbe Pro Brakes and Brake levers. Suntour Superbe Pro Head Set. Suntour Superbe Shifter Levers.  All Suntour Superbe Pro: Derailleur, Cranks, Front Sprockets 52 & 42 and Bottom Bracket.  Sweet Buttery Italia OMAS Hubs laced to 700c Mavic MA40 Rims. Tires are New Race Performance Flame 700x23c tires. Campagnolo Olmo Seat Post with a New Race Saddle.  The bike has some Damage on the rear stays near the seatpost, check photo, it looks like someone hauled it with something banging on it creating nicks, looks to have a crack also. The Top tube is  wavy too, impossible to see in the photos but looks like some one clamped it to hard in a bike stand. Even with the Damage the Bike was totally Rebuilt and one of my Personal Riders. Beautiful Bike but the Damage must be Noted to a New Buyer. This is a Nice Quality Italian Bike for a Collecting or for Retro L'Eroica Fun.
