Vintage 1984 Specialized Stumpjumper Sport XT - 53.5cm ST - Used

In 1984, Specialized had two different mountain bikes available - the Sport and the Sport XT. The XT was the top of the line model and it only came in black. It differed from the sport with a better bottom bracket, front and rear derailleurs, shift levers, and a different freewheel. The Sport would set you back $535 while the XT was $600. I see Sports on the used market every now and again but I have never seen another XT!
This bike is in good condition, but it does have some quirks. The brakes are a miss-match set - the rear is Deer Head and the front is Dia NGC982. They are both period correct. The hoops are also missmatch - Araya rear and Saturn front - both laced to a period correct sealed Specialized hub. The grips have seen some use well. There are also some scuffs and scratches here and there, but no dents, dings, or cracks. Everything else on the bike looks great!
