Vintage 1982 Fuji Royale II VALite DB 212 Sugino Japan 23in Bike

Nostalgic Japan-Built, Vintage-1982 Fuji Royale II light-touring bicycle, in great condition. Aesthetical Anthracite Grey color with chrome fork ends and chrome fork crown on a 23in (seattube t-c) frame. Fuji VALite Double-Butted 212 frame tubing with water bottle braze-ons. Mens model, 12-Speed bike. As this bike is over 40 years old, all original wear and tear items have been replaced. Examples would be all bearings, retainer rings, and grease points on the hubs, bottom bracket, and headset.
It has original matching front and rear 27x1-1/8” Ukai high pressure alloy wheels with original matching polished lo-flange Sunshine MAS-F/MAH-R hubs and Wingstar #14 steel spokes. It also has original matching polished Sunshine skewers. It has brand new Kenda tubes and rim strips w/ brand new Japan-made Panaracer Pasela 27x1-1/8” skin-walled tires.
It has a Nitto Olympiade B114 alloy handlebar and Young alloy stem with a Tange Japan chrome headset. Dia Compe 500G side-pull alloy brake calipers with wheel guides and quick-releases. Dia Compe polished brake levers with brand new Dia Compe gum brake hoods. It has brand new Jagwire CGX-SL black brake housings with Jagwire stainless-polished cables. It has brand new Brooks England black Rubber Bar Tape with original Fujita black screw-in bar plugs.
It has the original Sugino Japan Super Maxy 2AC - “FUJI” Edition alloy 170mm crankset with 42/52T Sugino Japan rings, and both original matching Sugino Japan black dust caps. Complete Sugino Japan bottom bracket assembly. MKS Quill 2K alloy pedals in great condition with original matching CATEYE pedal reflectors in great condition.
Brand New Brooks England C17 Special Cambium black and natural rubber saddle. The seatpost is the original Sugino Japan SP-H micro-adjustable 27.0mm fluted seatpost and it has an original Sugino Japan CR-MO polished seat binder bolt. I also installed brand new titanium water bottle binder bolts.
Original HKK Mighty-6 gold 1/2”x3/32” chain. The original freewheel is a great condition low-mileage Suntour Mighty-6 gold freewheel with 14-30T cogs that still luster the gold. I just completely stripped the freewheel down, cleaned, polished all the cogs and re-lubed the body. The front derailleur is a full-working polished Suntour “Fuji” Vx derailleur and the rear is also a full-working 6-Speed Suntour “Fuji” Vx-S derailleur. Rear derailleur was completely taken apart, cleaned, polished and greased including the jockey wheels. Equipped with brand new Jagwire LEX-SL black shift housings and Jagwire stainless-polished cables. All controlled by the original Suntour Vx clamp-on downtube shifters.
The bike runs smooth as butter and shifts without a glitch as all cables and housings were just replaced, hubs have been overhauled, and the chain has been run thru the cleaner three times and re-lubed. The paint is 9/10 with minimal paint nics on various parts of the frame. Decals are probably a 9/10 as far as condition goes, although they are all present and visible. That’s just my honest opinion, I’m being as critical as possible. However, there are no dings or rust on the frame or forks, it has been well taken care of in that respect. This bike is a true example of an 80’s Iconic Japanese steel-made light-touring bike.
This bike has been fully stripped down, properly washed, polished, and reassembled including all components as seen. This item will be packaged, shipped, and fully insured domestically in Continental U.S. ONLY (NO ALASKA, HAWAII, PUERTO RICO, OR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING) via BikeFlights or thru UPS.
