Trek Domane RSL Koppenberg - Race Shop Limited Shimano Ultegra 8000

First year of the rare RSL Koppenberg with R8000 Ultegra group and Bontrager RXL wheels. Built for Cancellera and the big guys for the Tour of Flanders, it was made with stiffness and sharp handling as the defining goals. Easily identified by the front drop outs sweeping back to shorten the wheelbase and fork rake, along with a steel non-replaceable derailleur hanger. Catch and release for me, way more bike than I need. It was sold to me as a 60cm, but I didn’t bring a tape measure and it felt smaller than my 62cm H1 Madone 7.9 so I had to agree. But the head tube is 19cm and the seat tube is 59cm, which is a 62cm by the online geometry charts. That head tube is still shorter than the 20cm on my Madone, and the wheelbase feels shorter. I’ve been meaning to contact Trek but haven’t gotten around to it. The Ultegra group had just under 500 miles on it when I bought it, and I estimate I’ve put perhaps another 300 miles on it. New bottom bracket bearings. Compact crankset and 11-32t cassette, but this frame is so stiff and efficient I haven’t needed all that gearing. Bontrager RXL wheelset and a Brooks C130 saddle round out the quality components. There are a few scratches, not out of line for its age. More are mysteriously cropping up and I want it to go to a good home quickly before “Not Me” does any further cosmetic damage.  Notable is the downtube scratch where the seller somehow goofed taking off the pedals to sell it to me. But there are no cracks or chips anywhere. This frame was $4200 new, and it has otherwise been taken care of accordingly.
