Tommasini Tecno ~2016 vintage (only 2,000 miles on the
clock):
Tommasini Tecno frame and fork (original chrome);
Italian threaded BB; 100/130 front/rear modern quick release spacing. The geomtery is tricky: I typically ride 55/56cm top tube c-t-c frames, and this one fits perfect. But Tommasini geometry has very small jumps between sizes (please see online; e.g., geometrygeeks). I have carefully measured this, and it looks spot-on for the 54.7cm c-t-c seat tube (57cm c-t-t) and 55.5cm top tube c-t-c geometry. Campagnolo Athena 11-speed silver groupset,
except for the crankset, which is an Ultra-Torque Campagnolo Veloce, with
11-speed 50-36 rings. I dislike the Campy Power Torque design, and replaced the
original crankset with this UT one. Campagnolo UT bottom bracket. Campagnolo Chorus 11-speed 11-27 cassette. Very rare Campagnolo Centaur silver seatpost
(27.2mm). Silver Deda Quattro 110mm stem and Deda Newton 42cm
(c-t-c) handlebar (Deda's 44cm o-t-o sizing). Wheelset: Campagnolo Record hubset (32h),
professionally laced to H Plus Son silver Archetype rims, Sapim Race
(double-butted 2-1.5-2 spokes) Continental GP5000 tires with lots of life left Selle Italia SLR Superflow
(L3 size) - rare white color. This bike has been my feel-good, cool cruising bike,
although it can double as a serious sleeper bike as well. I encourage you to
read the reviews. It is a beauty and I received comments, compliments, and just
appreciation whenever I took it out for a group ride. I could even hang with
the fast Saturday morning group ride on this, it is just a wonderfully smooth
bike.
I decked it out with "complementarity" and beauty in mind.
Yes, Athena was fourth in Campy’s group set tier, but this silver group set
just pops on the bike, set against its silver lugs and fork. Seriously, have a
look at the pictures. Full disclosure
: This bike is in epic condition,
although it is not faultless. I have tried to capture the one or two nicks in
the pictures. The biggest thing I want to be upfront about – I bought this
brand new, but the shipper did not package the seat/seatpost well and the
seatpost scraped the downtube near the “Tommasini” logo. My wife is an artist
(seriously), and she helped to repair the scrape, which can been seen in the
last pic, on the second “m” and the “a” of “Tommasini”. You cannot see this from
further than 2 meters away, and only if you are closer if you absolutely know
where to look. (BTW - the black'ish flecks you can see on the drivetrain, e.g., the rear derailleur, are actually chain wax; I meticulously maintain my drivetrains). I have a few options in terms of parting this out, please specify clearly what your offer is fo r !
- without wheels = subtract $550 from asking price
- without groupset = subtract $700 from asking price
- frame, fork, headset, and seatpost clamp only = asking $1600 (plus shipping)
I will refund shipping cost, if it turns out to be lower than the quoted amount.
