Titanium Tandem Disc Frameset - S&S Couplers - Sliding Dropouts - Di2 -

For sale is a custom titanium frameset. It is roughly between size Medium and Large size when looking at dimensions from the Co-Motion tandems. It has a 58 cm equivalent top tube for the captain. The stoker equivalent top tube will depend on the length of the stoker stem used. The provided titanium one is for about a 54 cm equivalent top tube when accounting for total reach to the handlebars. You can get about 48 cm equivalent with a longer stem such as those from Co-Motion. See the attached detailed dimensions. This frame was custom built with no cost spared to my specifications from XACD cycles in China. It was an exhaustive effort spanning many months of back and forth communication to build the best frame we possibly could. The frame is new. My wife developed knee issues preventing us from proceeding with the build. Extra large 51 mm and 45 mm titanium tubes were used for high rigidity. All tubing is double butted to minimize weight. The weight of the frame with the rear rack installed is 4.91 kg. Titanium S&S couplers are installed allowing the bike to collapse and fit into a standard bike bag (I have one such bag for sale in my other auctions). The bottom bracket spacing is such to fit a Gates belt drive. Sliding dropouts are used, and the drive side seat stay can be opened to also allow use of a gates belt drive and a internally geared hub. 12mm thru-axles front and rear, with 142 mm rear hub. This frame utilizes 180 mm brake discs which are included. This frame is for digital shifting only, so Di2 or eTap or equivalent only - there are no provisions for shifter cables. The bottom brackets are for cranks with 30 mm spindles such as those from Lightning and Appleman. The front and rear clearance is for 28 mm tires.
