For sale: A very clean, well-maintained 1994 Specialized S-Works Epic/Allez carbon fiber bike. For those not familiar with the construction, this is built from lugged carbon rods. The lugs have insets that fit inside the rods as well as around the outsides. I bought this frame in 2013, built the bike up from scratch, and have ridden it every year since, although I never put any hard miles on it. According to my Strava, I have about 3,000 miles on the frame, which is in exactly the same condition as when I bought it, with no signs of any issues. I'm 6/2" and weight 215, but the frame has never had an issue. The only drawback is that these frames are notoriously "spooky" on fast, winding downhills, so I descend slowly and everything's fine. These are very comfortable frames which eat up road vibrations, and I've used it for many long rides. I built the bike from the frame up with a combination of parts, listed below.
*9-speed Ultegra group, except front derailleur, which is Dura-Ace (Shifters can be set up with a triple chainring).
*Mavic CXP Elite wheels built from NOS on new Claris hubs
*Michelin Dynamic Classic gumwall tires, 700c x 25
*ITM handlebars
*Classic Deda Elementi "Zero" stem
*New Shimano bottom bracket and Ritchey headset
*No pedals included
*All new cables 2022
