Motobecane Grand Touring Vintage 10 Speed Bike Lugged Steel Vitus 62cm

Vintage Motobecane Grand Touring. Made in France ca. late 1970s. Lugged Vitus 172 steel tubing. 62cm seat tube measured c-t-c, 64cm c-t-t. 59cm top tube. This is a large bike for people over 6 feet tall. The standover height is 35".
A beautiful classic lugged steel 10 speed. Largely original parts, including the beautiful crankset and distinct handlebar cover. Shifting courtesy of Suntour derailleurs and ratcheting friction downtube shifters. Was just taken apart, degreased, cleaned, and reassembled with new shift cables and Panaracer Pasela gumwall tires, 27" x 1 1/4".
Wheels are original Weinmann Concave rims, just retensioned and trued. Rear derailleur was disassembled and properly lubricated to ensure long service life. Front derailleur is a funky cool Suntour SL with reverse action. Weinmann centerpull brakes. Everything feels great, nice and crisp. Freewheel gives that super satisfying click and spins for days. Saddle is a vintage suede Mundialita, made in Italy. Looks sharp and feels great.
Bike is in very nice condition for a ~45 year old machine. Absolutely no dents, cracks, crash damage, or otherwise. A few light scratches here and there. Condition is well documented in photos and I've done my best to highlight any obvious paint wear. Please review all photos and feel free to message us with any questions!
