LOOK KG396 Track Bike

LOOK KG396 Track Bike. I purchased this frame in 2005 from one of Anton Quist's teammates as a means of escalating my involvement in Track Racing, but that never came to fruition. I rode it several times and then put it aside, with the intentions of someday getting back into the sport. Unfortunately, time and age have prevented this from occurring and I'm now in need for more room for other things. My "loss" is your "gain". This is a slightly used yellow 2004 Model LOOK KG 396 Track Racing Frame and Fork, size "Medium" (Top Tube 58cm c/c; Seat Tube 58cm c/t - using LOOK's odd categorization then, this was the largest such frame available: sizing went "XS, S, M"). This is one of the most sought-after frame sizes; most are “S” or “XS”. I should know, it took me almost two years to find THIS one. The sale INCLUDES the proprietary LOOK Seat Post and Adjustable Stem (a very unique design). When I purchased the frameset, it had no components other than with what it was manufactured. I’m also including in the sale the ZIPP 404 "Speed Weaponry" Carbon Fiber Wheelset with alloy spokes, along with19mm Bridgestone Tubeless Tires, as well as a DuraAce Bottom Bracket and Splined Cranks, Chainring, Chain, and Cog, as well as the 3T Alloy Handlebar. The toe clips and the seat are NOT included in the sale. This is a COMPLETE setup to get you racing right off the ground. I coordinated closely with Anton which would be the best components to use. I won't be separating the components at this juncture, so please don’t ask me. If you have other components you want to use other than this unique high-quality setup, go ahead and resell these. Either way, I believe the price I'm asking, given the frame and its current components, is reasonable and fair. This is a good deal. The frame is in very good condition and has been treated with the care it deserves. It has two small scratches: one near the front fork where it touches the frame, the other on the top tube. This LOOK Track Frame was the official frame of the French and American National Teams, among others, and is STILL regarded as one of the fastest track frames on the market. I can personally attest to that. On slower speeds, it feels a bit awkward and deceivingly unwieldy. Once up to speed, its FAST and incredibly stable. It’s the most amazing track bike I have ever ridden or owned and I have some incredible bikes otherwise. I have a local bike shop which does EXCELLENT packing for shipping.  I should also point out that shipping is often significantly above the required amount, and I always pay for any costs in excess of the requested amount.
