Funk La Ruta Mountain Bike Size Small 29" Wheels and Tires Fantastic 29" pivot-less full-suspension race/cross country bike. Tons of tire clearance means this bike can be run with Plus+ sized tires if desired. Just given a light tune-up; everything works great! Lightweight Titanium frame with artistically engineered pivot-less rear suspension keeps this bike very lightweight and extremely low maintenance. Almost zero energy lost when pedaling so riding up, and up, and up those long trails will now be comparitivly easy. The Fox Evolution Series fork offers 120mm travel and pairs perfectly with the Fox Float RP2 rear shock that offers roughly 2" of travel. Both the fork and rear shock are adjustable to suit the rider or trail conditions. The Shimano XT 1x11 drivetrain shifts smooth though all 11 speeds and can easily be run with a wide range rear cassette if desired to help get up even the steepest ascents. The XT hydraulic disc brakes work great and are there to slow you down in a hurry. The lightweight Stan's Grail ZTR carbon wheels roll true and come clad with fast rolling, lightweight Maxxis Ikon tires front and rear (already set up tubeless!). This ride is ready to hit the dirt/race course; just BYOHelmet and make sure to have the bike professionally assembled after shipping. Please see photos for components, condition, and details. Pedals are NOT included. Factory Description " In early 2001, Daryl Funk began work on a new design for a cross-country mountain bike. The benefits of building from titanium were widely recognized – light-weight, smooth ride-quality, durability – but the only titanium bikes being built were either hardtails or short-travel softtails, like the Moots YBB designed by Kent Eriksen. The titanium softtail designs generally offered crude suspension performance with poor small-bump compliance, insufficient travel for large bumps, and significant pedaling-feedback / bobbing. John Castellano at Ibis had recently made some notable improvements with his Silk-Ti design that used chainstays made from 1/4 inch titanium plate, yet this bike still offered limited travel and did not address the issue of pedaling-feedback. Daryl’s insight was to combine some of these ideas with the platform shocks that were being developed to create a true pivotless full-suspension Titanium frame that would remain active under pedaling loads without bobbing. The results of these efforts have created a platform with the following benefits and features: Approximately 2" of travel Zero Pivots. Nothing to Maintain, Nothing to Squeak and Nothing to Weigh Down the Ride The ability to leverage modern day shocks with tune-able dampening, rebound, lockout, etc." Sizing & fit We can not tell you if this bike will fit you or not, but here is a factory geometry table to help. Bicycle will require professional reassembly after shipping. We repeat... BICYCLE WILL REQUIRE PROFESSIONAL REASSEMBLY AFTER SHIPPING. Some people seem to read that statement and had issues after "assembly". We now repeat this bit of important information to make doubly clear you WILL need a professional to properly assemble the bike. We'd also recommend you use a pro to dial in your settings and riding position as needed. We are not Walmart. We are not Amazon.
