inches I am around 5’6”
tall, around 115 lbs and with the seat in the position shown in the photos, it
was perfect. The bike was with great care professionally packed into a personal container and shipped over to the US together with all my other possessions when I emigrated from the UK in 2010. This fabulous machine has
been cosseted all of its life. I bought it from a semi professional British cyclist
who was the first owner, who tragically sustained a serious permanent leg
injury in a motoring accident. His Aire Valley Race Team logo is still on the rear forks. This is a very reluctant sale of an iconic model road bike. Please note. I have seriously
considered this in great depth…..Sorry, I am not prepared to ship the bike. The extremely high possibility of damage that I have
constantly observed in bike shipping reviews, is not a risk that I am prepared to
take. However the buyer is very welcome to arrange for their own trusted freight transporter, which has always worked with other sales. When I purchased it,
to also eliminate shipping, I traveled to Bradford City, Yorkshire UK The journey was distance of around a 700 mile round trip using a
friend’s 2003 Peugeot 205 hatchback. which is a very small vehicle. The bike
fitted very easily through the hatchback, passenger seats flat, with just the
front wheel removed. If you have any questions or need more photos, just get in touch. Thanks for looking.David
