Early Italian Masi 3V. 54.5 ctc downtube. Campagnolo 8 speed groupset.

For sale is an early Masi 3V. I am also willing to sell just the frame and fork. This is an Italian-built 3V and is stamped as a Masi-sized 56cm. Masi measured from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the point of the seat tube lug, so in ctc measuring this is about a 54.5cm seat tube. Top tube measures about 54cm ctc. The serial number is nearly impossible to make out. It may say 212. If it did that may mean this was the 212th 3V made by Faliero, since it is earlier than their standard serial numbering scheme but there are some records of serial numbers done like that. That is more educated guess than fact though. The other details of the bike do point to it being an early 3V though so it makes some sense. If you aren't familiar with their history, Masi 3Vs were pretty revolutionary because they were the first internally-lugged bike. This frame has been repainted and the decals were not applied on the repaint. There are a few spots where the paint has flaked off, but I do not see any rust. The fork crown had some surface rust but it came right off with simichrome. The groupset is campagnolo mirage 2x8s. Componentry is all in great shape. Also has a campy omega 19 wheelset. Selle Italia seatpost. 3ttt bars and stem. I rode it around the block and tested the gears, but that's the extent of the rising I've done on it. Wheels are true and the whole bike looks to have been well maintained.
