Selling a one of a kind custom 1974 Raleigh International touring frame that has been customized with canti (cantilever) bosses.
The Raleigh International is a legendary touring frame built by Raleigh’s special projects division in Worksop, England. It may be vintage but with canti brakes and wide tires it is a modern mud eating beast.
Canti bosses and rear brake bridge were added/replaced a few years ago by Spicer Cycles
Near Evansville IN.
Can run 35mm/36mm tires depending on rim dimensions. Brake bosses for 700c wheels
Frame and fork are both lightweight 2x butted Reynolds 531 steel. Rear cable stop bolt is present and included (these are often missing on these frames)
This thing is like a Surly Cross Check but doesn’t weigh half as much. I love this bike but have 5 other gravel bikes so this one isn’t getting the love and attention it deserves.
Headset included
I painted this matte green a while back to protect the frame from rust. Not a bad paint job…a few normal and expected scratches here and there
Headbadge is raw bronze colour and is attached via double sided tape
This would make a bomber commuter or gravel bike. Canti brakes are the best :-).
