Pictures shot in very direct stark light on a very cold morning. the dirt on the tires is from rolling it out to shoot pictures (and will be cleaned off) . I may replace some of the pictures with more diffuse light , but will not change the primary photo. This is a fun bike. I have taken it out once on the track (the brake set-up I designed for easy removal & easy re-instalation for road). The front lever (right hand) is clamped on with a hinged collar , so that's a snap to remove the brake without even relaxing the cable . My closest track is some 60 miles away , so I've only done that once. I have mostly taken it out several times for about a 15mile loop at night , since it is geared rather high (52/15) . When I built the bike there were no Campagnolo Track Sprockets for sale in 1/8" so I bought a Campagnolo Training Sprocket 15 tooth in 3/32" instead. It should be replaced with a 1/8" sprocket , but that needs to be in vintage "Italian" threading to keep the threads viable on the Gnutti Vintage Hubset. The "training sprocket" was designed to put a single speed rear on a road bike with 3/32 chain for training purposes. Now there are several Campagnolo Track sprockets available. The hubset is quite beautiful in design , and was never cut with the typical hub design holes leaving them aero. Gnutti is a vintage Italian manufacturer , and was similar to Campagnolo in quality for the time. The threading is vintage Italian and best not to switch between English and Italian back and forth as would be the case with a Track set-up , though they say they are compatible - that does not include going from one to the other and back again , which would eventually distress the threads. I bought the Hubs new old stock when I built the bike as I did with the Frame / Super Record Headset / Stem / and Used Campagnolo Crankset (visually matching but mismatched Pista/Strada 170's) to which I added a Super Mighty Sugino Chainring. The Bottom bracket, as memory serves, is a White Industries Titanium BB (used). The seat post is the only carbon part I have ever fitted to one of my bikes (other than crank arms). I cannot be certain of the year of manufacture. Very Stiff and very quick (Spirit Super Pista Tubing) The rear has both black and white Dt Swiss competition spokes. The front the same but all black. This should pulse very nicely when lit up with headlights or direct sunlight. I didn't want that distraction in the front. The multi- Color chain was to compliment the logo and leather color.
