Just finished this project, and sadly it has to go; too many other projects.
New powder coat and clear coat painted this July 2023. I left the head badge and decals off, as I really liked the look without these (which I know might be controversial for some people). Frame saver was sprayed inside of the frame tubes after the painting was done.
https://pikepowdercoating.com/ Shimano bar-end shifters
3x7 Drivetrain
Mix of original Shimano RX-100 components and Exage brake levers
Newer Mavic Open Pro Rims
Shimano Ultegra front hub
Forte sealed bearing rear hub
700x28c Continental Gator Skin tires
(there is room for 700x35c tires and fenders!) New old stock Dia-Compe XCM cantilever brakes (the original owner had installed v-brakes!). New Salmon Kool-stop brake pads Note: The Dia-Compe XCM's are not ideal for this bike, as there is some fork "chatter" due to brake pads that cannot have their angle adjusted due to spacing. Swapping these out with Dia-Compe 981's or some modern brakes (Paul) would be good. New Tange headset
New Shimano sealed bearing bottom bracket
Brooks Professional saddle (included if wanted)
New Newbaum's yellow cloth bar tape
I prefer a local Boston/Cambridge area buyer, but I am willing to ship and work with any interested people on shipping costs and details.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have, or send more photos, video, etc.
Thanks for looking!
