I bought and built this beauty from the frame (Bianchi San Jose/Gitane City Link) up in fall 2019 for a tour in summer of 2020. Unfortunately, this was before Covid and once the lockdowns started, my tour was canceled. I’ve since given up on touring and this has just sat in my garage. Direct from Bianchi USA, I paid $450, plus $125 shipping so my loss is your gain. Just want someone to be able to use this outstanding frame. This will clear 700x47mm Continental touring tires; they fit but some paint did come off the right chainstay from the install. I rode it on 6 rides to get the angles, shifting, and max tire size set up. Cable rub and marks from storage and building it up with zip ties to hold cables which is hard to see in photos, it’s minor but this is why it’s marked as used. Since then, it’s just sat in my garage, unused. I’ve given up on touring and am selling. Last photo shows it built up; it’s long been disassembled and has just been in my garage on a multi bike rack. I’ll include the surly derailleur hanger ($35) as well as a double cable stop for the seat tube so you can build it as a geared machine. Comes with a new Cane Creek, Scott branded, headset.
The frame was brand new from Bianchi and has 100/130mm spacing (since it’s steel, you can stretch it to accommodate 135 mm) and was designed to be a single Speed, but I built it as a 3x10 touring/gravel bike for my canceled tour. Gitane City Link is a durable and versatile Cr-Mo Steel single-speed frameset, designed and manufactured By Bianchi with the same specs and makeup of their fan-favorite San Jose model. May it be a dependable commuter, touring bike, cyclocross darling or just the link for getting around town, the City Link/ San Jose is ready to take you there, take you there with style.

The first bike Edoardo Bianchi manufactured in 1885 had only one gear, not that he wanted people to suffer up the hills. It's just that his revolutionary vision of Celeste-colored human-powered two-wheelers predates the birth of gears. That's us, older than gears. Which is why when we introduce a new single-speed, it is somewhat of a contradiction.
San Jose joins M.U.S.S and W.U.S.S. as the latest one-speeder that only makes sense if you get it. Unlike fixed-gear track bikes, which are the obvious standard for track racing and urban hipster pothole dodging, our single-speeders have a one-speed freewheel, so you can enjoy the pain off-road.
Based on the popular steel Volpe frame, but with horizontal rear-entry track dropouts.
