~ Beautiful Restored GITANE Super Corsa Road 24.5" Reynolds Lugged Steel Frameset ~ This is part of a large collection of vintage framesets I will be offering here in the coming weeks. Here we have an early 70's Gitane Super Corsa frame & fork. Frame is Reynolds 531 throughout with Campagnolo dropouts. This was the top of the line full Campagnolo offering, made to compete with Motobecane Team Champion, and some of the Mondia's of the time. This frame was professionally restored including the chrome work. My friend was a stickler to details, so the paint was done in a lower gloss to match the actually look and feel of a vintage frame from that era, frames from that era were not super glossy. The frame then had all the lugged lined with gold pinstriping. The decals were never applied, but I think some are available. Frame takes a French BB and headset, seatpost size is 26.4mm. The frame is considered a 24 1/2", but actually measures 61.5cm from the center of the BB to the top of the top tube, top tube is 59cm C-2-C. I know my friend spent a lot of money getting this to where it is, with a little attention to detail, it could be finished and be a real show piece.
