‘88 Shogun Prairie Breaker Team Issue MTB Bike Prestige / Shimano XT

TOP OF THE LINE FOR 1988.
19” from center bb to center top tube.
22” center seat tube straight to center head tube.
Tange prestige frame with tange mtb fork
Tange prestige handlebar which is very uncommon.
XT brake pads
One missing brake lever cover. The other is gummy and old.
Original strong pm seatpost
Most components cleaned and lightly polished.
Paint has plenty of paint chips both touched up and some left as is. Luckily, this frame has three very easy colors to get a color match for if you decide to give it a pro retouch. Overall, this bike is a stunner from a distance but you can see obvious paint flaws from up
close.
As far as the components, all are in working order and are confirmed original to this bike based on date codes.
Cosmetically:
-the Shifters are in really good condition.
- front derailleur is in really good condition
- rear derailleur has a couple scratches but overall nice
- crankset chainrings have normal wear for age. Crank arms have some scratches
-Hubs are in good condition. XT Graphics are intact. Skewers and seat clamp rubbers are cracked. Front skewer rubber fell of but it’s there.
- u brake is obviously scratched
- seatpost has some scratches but looks overall nice.
- saddle has cracks but intact
- grips: right grip is peeling. Both grips have no tears and have plenty life left
- handlebars are faded in some spots. Sign of an attempted touch up
- front brakes are in good condition and shine nice.
-pedals have scratches.
