Prewar Drop Center Rims or Spokes for Vintage Schwinn Bicycles and Others ( Option Choices ) This auction is for your choice of Vintage Prewar 36 hole Drop Center Rims and or Spokes from the pull down menu. The Drop Center Rim was the Rim used on most all Deluxe Prewar Bikes including Schwinn, CWC, Hawthorne, Shelby, Dayton, Huffman, Columbia, Colson, and Roadmaster. These Rims were also used on Postwar Murray and Sears JC Higgins and Spaceliner bikes. Add on Spoke Options Available, The 269mm Double Butted spokes is the Proper Spoke for Lacing Vintage 26" Wheels.. Your Selection from the menu. Nice Patina Shape previously laced, shows wear, paint loss, has rust, possible tiny dents but no curb hits. The white with red pinstiping is nice but has a big dent in one rim & needs work. Good Patina for Blending. These rims are Prewar Ballooner for 2.125" tires although the same rim can be used postwar with 1.75" tires. Both tire sizes work with these rims. Sizes for 26" Ballooner Rims / Wheels with a 559 ISO/BSD or 24" Ballooner Rims / Wheels 507 ISO/BSD. Your Selection Choice will have the details and show your selection. Your add on Choice of New, Used, and or RatRod Spokes. The New Spokes are High Quality New 269mm Stainless Steel Double Butted 14-15 gauge Spokes with chrome plated  brass nipples. The Used Spokes are Vintage Original 269mm Double Butted Spokes with New nipples, The Used Spokes show wear but are pretty clean, may have minimal rust. The RatRod Spokes are Rusty Vintage Original 269mm Double Butted Spokes with New Nipples. Used Spokes produce better blending on Patina Bikes. Used Spokes will have a few extras. These spokes work well with Most Vintage Ballooner Front ( Like Schwinn & New Departure) and Rear Coaster Brake hubs (Like New Departure, Morrow, and Musselman Hubs) with a cross 4 pattern to most Vintage 26" x 1.75 and 26"x 2.125" Rims. The 269mm size is also referred to as 10 5/8" in vintage terms and is the main Size for 26" wheels Used on Prewar Drop-centers and Schwinn S-2 wheels in a Cross 4 pattern.
