2004 Trek Madone 5.9 Tour de France Limited Edition #167 of 500 Lance Armstrong. This Limited Edition Trek Madone 5.9 Road Bike was Offered in 2004 to Commemorate Lance Armstrong's 5th Consecutive "Tour de France" Victory in 2003. This was Trek's Top of the Line Road Bike with a the “Custom Limited Edition" Paint Finish. Frame is OCLV 110 Carbon Composite with Shimano Dura Ace 7800 Components except for the Shimano Ultegra Compact Crankset. This is the 60 cm (center to top) Frame Size. Please note the crack in the paint at the bottom bracket junction area as shown in the last picture. Honestly I was surprised how bad the crack looked In the picture, I definitely took a picture from an angle that emphasizes the crack, looking at the bike from normal angles it s hard to see behind the crankset. The frame was inspected by my local Trek dealer (Ski Hut in Wayzata) and the diagnosis was the crack is in the paint only and not in the carbon fiber. That inspection was over 15 years ago and the paint crack has not grown since. The bike has been ridden and shows some signs of use, there are a few rock chips and light scuffs but as you can see it presents nicely for a bike almost twenty years old. Mechanically the bike is excellent, the bike shifts and brakes beautifully, the rims are true and it’s ready to be enjoyed by the next owner.
