1982 Kuwahara KYZ loop-tail in excellent condition, preservation restoration.
One of my nicest bikes and it rides perfectly! Very quiet, and solid, needs nothing.
Many of you know these bikes are made in Japan, and are quite collectible even without the connection to ET.
This bike is the same make, model, and year as the bike ridden by Elliot in the Movie ET.
The movie bike was red and white and this one is just white, however I am including a vintage sticker set with which you could paint the bike partially red to match the one in the movie. I think this bike is so classic in white that I could never paint it, but you do you.
This bike is wearing a set of original loose-ball Skyways in amazing condition with just the right amount of off-white tint to them.
I'm also including an original ET number plate that regularly runs $300-$500 here on ebay.

THIS BIKE IS FROM 1982 AND IS NOT THE KZ1 model that was released as a collectible tie-in to the movie.
The bike in the movie is a KYZ loop-tail, but the original collectibles were made from the less expensive non loop-tail KZ1.
Later anniversary editions like the 10th year, 20th, 30th, and 40th were based on the loop-tail model but the 1982 batch wasn't. So, if you want a real '82 Kuwahara looptail like actually seen in the movie, then this is your bike!
Sugino 5 bolt stem, Sugino chain-ring, Takagi cranks, KKT pedals, Kuwahara Seat-post, Dia Compe brake Kuwahara bars and grips. OG Comp IIIs.
I highly recommend doing a search here on Ebay for the term "Kuwahara ET" then sort the results by highest price first and have your mind blown by the prices people are asking for various reproductions and repops. if you want a reproduction and would like to pay twice what I'm asking for my original '82 KYZ you will have plenty of opportunities.
