I'm selling my recently refurbished Nishiki Cascade steel frame MTB in size Large. I was unable to confirm a production year for the bike, but judging by what stock parts came on this, I conclude that it was produced in the 1980s - probably in the years 1987-1989. EDIT: A Nishiki expert reached out to me and confirmed this to be a 1987 due to the rear brake placement and fork sweep. https://1987nishiki.wordpress.com/ Everything on this bike was made in Japan, from the Shimano Cantilever Brakes (levers and calipers), Shimano Deore 6sp. rear and Deore front derailleurs and shifters to the freewheel and crankset. The Araya 26" wheels are in anodized gold and hubs are in great shape and spin smoothly (did not repack the hubs). I needed to replace a spoke in the rear (this wheel has a very slight wobble and can be trued at your local bike shop). I am a bike shop employee and have many years of experience fixing old vintage mountain bikes like this one. I have gotten this thing as dialed in with its original components as one can. Everything on this bike is original except for a few newer items necessary to making this a completely ridable bike. List of replaced parts: • New Cables • New Housing • New Saddle • New Chain • New Front Tire • New Tubes • Added a trek rear rack Get this sick vintage, made in Japan Nishiki Cascade for your nostalgic grocery getter or your kid's campus cruiser.
