My bike from when I was 7. Always was garage or basement kept. Ended up back in my house after parents passed away and siblings forced me to take it home. Wife said you’re not able or going to ride it, you do not collect bikes and won’t let grandkids use it so sell it. Fine, someone getting an original Chicago built Schwinn Apple Krate 1970. Serial number in photos- HF 22049 I am not knowledgeable to restore and would probably mess it up so leaving as is. Everything in photos is as is currently as of Aug 2023. Original everything, tires, seat, speed-o-meter, even the streamers on handle grips.I think maybe the generator for lights had to be replaced but I honestly do not remember well. I just know quick check- brakes move, shifts fine, rims still straight and about good as is gets for a kids bike that sat unused for many years. Speedometer shows 64 miles, sounds about right. Can email for extra photos or questions that I might have answers too. Shipping wise not even sure how that going to work. Not breaking this down and a box this big be crazy $$ alone the damage that could occur. I’d say pickup in person or have a trusted representative that can confirm identity to prevent fraud / theft or depending I may be able to deliver or meet in middle for a price to be negotiated. Located western Kentucky outside Paducah near Benton. August 20, 2023- Several inquiries asking for shipping options. I have looked into this. Local pro bike shop in Paducah Ky quoted me $90-100 USD for some breakdown and boxing meaning pedals off, handlebars lowered, seat lowered and other measures to pack smaller without damage including box made for bicycles. They told me depending on destination expect $150 to $300 USD shipping cost. If buyer wants this I am willing to accommodate this request but will not take on myself and purchaser assumes cost and I will provide receipts of fees from source. Also decided to lower start bid $250 off.
