12 Volt Mini-Charger Max For Bicycle Dynamo and Motorized Bike Lighting Now you can get a reliable lighting system for your bicycle dynamo and for your 2 cycle motorized bicycle with this 12 volt Mini-Charger which makes up a part of that system. This is designed to charge 12 volt SLA batteries, NiCd and NiMH rechargeable battery packs of 12 volts. .This item is designed to be used with our 12 Volt Mini-Generator or bicycle 12 volt dynamo. Your battery will be charged up while riding and used for lighting systems up to about 10 to 15 watts (recommended). The use of LED lights are recommended for all around efficiency. This charger includes an inline fuse to protect the circuit in the unlikely event of overloads or shorts. If you have a 6 volt bicycle dynamo or Mini-Generator, we also have a 6 Volt Mini-Charger available in our store. The charger will prevent overcharge by reducing to a trickle when battery is full. This 12 Volt Mini-Charger for 2 cycle motorized bicycles is designed to be used with our 12 Volt Mini-Gen Max.or 12 Volt Mini-Generator

The rate of charge is variable and depends on engine speeds.

This battery charger delivers a significant amount of charge to 10 x AA (12 volts) NiMH battery pack and also for 12 volt SLA batteries.

If you have a 14.4 volt NiMH rechargeable battery pack, a revised charger will be required.

Generators, battery packs, light switch and lights are all available separately in our store.

Just strap mini-charger onto bicycle seat post after using a layer of duct tape to frame (helps prevent scatches and improves grip).

Cable ties are included, but duct tape is not included.

This photo shows a night view of the Mini-Charger with yellow LED light indicating a working circuit.

This can be strapped to other places if preferred.

Remove a nut from carb intake pipe and attach the Mini-Charger ground cable (as seen in photo).

The ground cable must be grounded to engine for the charger to work.

It might also be necessary to use another wire connector between engine and frame in order for frame grounded lights to work.

In most cases the engine is already in contact with the bike's metal frame, so the need for a separate connection is not likely.

NOTE: Actual LED light will be yellow

This 12 Volt encased SLA battery features a 1.2 Ah battery encased, complete and ready for installation. This item is also sold separately.

This battery pack will be charged by Mini-Charger while riding and will maintain a full charge while driving.

This 12 Volt LED lighting system is the top of the line for energy efficient motorized bicycle light.

Should batteries become drained or should the fuse blow, this charging system will still send current directly to lights to allow a safe ride home (same as our 6 Volt complete lighting systems)!

NOTE: The battery pack can also be strapped to some other place on bicycle if it won't fit on seat post!

The Mini-Charger can be connected to 12 volt SLA or 10 x AA rechargeable batteries in a pack to be charged for powering 10 watts of LED lights.

A 10 watt LED headlight would be ideal for this purpose.

A low wattage 12 to 14 volt tail light can be added (2 to 3 watts). An LED tail light could be even more energy efficient.

An SLA 12 volt battery can also be used.

Connect the negative and positive wires from Mini-Charger to battery.

Use duct tape or cable ties to secure wire, then use duct tape or cable ties to strap wires to bike frame.

Your setup will look much better than this!

The green wire from Mini-Charger will be routed to light switch (not included).

Green LED light on Mini-Charger will indicate charging activity while engine is running.

A fuse holder is included with Mini-Charger to hold a 2 Amp fuse (recommended).
